NORTHERN HUMBOLDT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT
PROCLAMATION:
ARCATA AND MCKINLEYVILLE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, the NHUHSD wants our students to have successful careers and to be more job and career ready after they graduate from high school; and
WHEREAS, NHUHSD strives to partner with local businesses and organizations to expose our students to potential careers and higher education opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Arcata and McKinleyville Chambers of Commerce and their members, staff, and board leaders have a long history of supporting NHUHSD students, faculty, and staff in many ways.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Northern Humboldt Union High School District Board of Trustees issues this proclamation of appreciation and our sincere thanks to the Arcata and McKinleyville Chambers for their pioneering work creating the Arcata and McKinleyville High School mentorship programs, 8-week long opportunities for our students to explore careers, learn leadership skills, and network with many amazing community leaders who support the students' pathways towards their preferred futures.
