Driver's Training

Drivers Training, Documents and Information

Driver's Training has been shut down indefinitely due to lack of credentialed instructors.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Northern Humboldt Union High School District offers a Driver Training course for $300. We accept cash, check or you can now pay online (see link below). NHUHSD likes to have two students drive together. Each student will receive 6-hours behind-the-wheel training and 6-hours of observation training when possible. In order to participate in the program students must have completed a driver education course and have their permit.

We are a year-round program and offer student scheduling options for after school or weekends.

To register, please complete enrollment form online below. You will also need to submit payment prior to your first drive.

Once student has registered, a Driver Training Instructor will call to schedule your drive time. Generally students who sign up first will be scheduled first.

Students are eligible to take the written test through DMV to get their permit at any time after completing the driver education class. Just a reminder that the permit does not become valid until a student completes one hour of Driver Training.
