I'm going to show you how to download and install Google drive file stream I'm going to open up a web browser Google Chrome as you can see I'm already logged into my school account next I'm going to go to Google and now I'm going to go up to the Cog and click get drive for podesta now I'm going to go down and click download and I'll drive file stream cuz I'm using the Windows machine I'm going to click download for Windows just a moment now I'm going to click on that file it will open it not me not look like it is doing anyting but just give it a minute they're Rico I don't really want to stop truck shortcut the docks you can if you do you can leave that check I will however add an application shortcut to my desktop as it is Handy to have when you do need to find something quickly click install now the next thing I'm going to do is log in with my school email it will require the app no hun. Us as you can see the floating your finals I'm right now the wait is this from Google Drive is that the files are physically accessible from our computer now you can just click open Google drive folder and you can sheet see where your shared drives are or your General Drive I'm going to show you how to navigate to that so I'm going to close our web browser as it is different than just click and drive now I'm going to go down to up my manila envelope this is File Explorer I make this big on the left hand side you can see this PC now this PC has Google drive file stream I can see my Google add files on my computer now one thing I want you to notice is it will tell you what type of file it is you can see that this is a Google Document document she is a JPEG so this is an image file if you were to double click on that and actually bring up the image in Google Documents it would look a lot different than what's play here on your computer so let me give you an example so a just man to a just man it shows it in the photos app on my computer but if I click on a Google sheet it will actually bring up Google Sheets now for some people who like to use let's see use a power poo instead of a document or use a document instead of a so where it differentiates is where you have the type soap a power play presentation is typically using PowerPoint is not going to show up as a Google slide so if I double tap here it will actually bring it up in Powerpoint now where that differs from Google Drive is in Google Drive on the web browser let me show you it will try to bring it up as a Google slide as you can see it doesn't really work but if I go to my I'll Explorer and go to Google Drive file stream it will actually bring it in Powerpoint now the same goes for most other documents as well if you open it from our File Explorer open up on your computer but if you are on the web and on your Google drive here it will show up a little different where is open in the web browser so Jessica when you are doing when you are editing things please make sure that you added them in your file explorer so that it will automatically sync with your Google Drive now some people might have a question of how can I upload things to my Google drive through this window well let's try it so I'm going to create a Word document and this is the next the next Great American novel when I hit save but instead of it just being anywhere I'm going to go to this PC brows and I'm going to save it directly to my Google Drive file stream So once again I'll scroll down best PC Google drive file stream to my drive and you can organize things here I'm just going to keep it in the main bucket so I'm going to hit save long as you save your documents into that Google drive file Stream area it will automatically sync with your Google Drive as you can see my next the next Great American novel is already in here the Next Great American novel sometimes if you go do your file explorer the drive file stream is not there sometimes I will show you how to bring it up forcefully so not desktop icon that we created when we a very handy because you can simply click on it and it'll tell you that it's running if that doesn't work you can go down to the system train and find the drive file stream icon you can right-click on it as you can see I'm already logged in sometimes in a log you out as you can see everything is sinking so any edits you do on your Peter automatically synced as long as you have internet connection well I hope you enjoy this tutorial and have a great day
