Play Welcome Back in today's tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a YouTube channel and verify it so you can post videos longer than 10 minutes now this is going to be required if you're recording your lectures and wanted to share them with students so the first thing I'm going go to YouTube or you can go to your Google Apps launcher on YouTube now I know that I'm logged in as myself here so I'm going to click on my profile picture and I'm going to go down to set I'm going to do scroll down and look for channel status and features and we are going to verify click verify now you will need this connected to your phone in order to verify it as an actual person is YouTube allowed everybody without a phone to have a YouTube channel and post videos longer than 10 minutes would be spam sitting outside looks like I need to put in all the dashes to maybe not all right cool so I'm going to wait for that text message 6-digit verification code and I've got it I'm going to type my verification code in Click submit all right I am now verify this is a required step once again in order to post videos longer than 10 minutes most of your lectures will probably be longer than 10 minutes so I encourage you to do this before you start trying to record your lectures okay now I've got my YouTube verified now I'm going to show you in the next tutorial how to upload your recorded Meats to YouTube and share them in your classroom great day
